About King Leopold Air
King Leopold Air first took to the Kimberley skies back in 1992 as a small charter company based on a pastoral station close to its namesake - the spectacular 'King Leopold Ranges'. Today the company benefits from an extensive aircraft engineering background and has seen much expansion in both commercial and leisure tourism sectors. King Leopold Air has its Head Office in Broome plus an office at Broome Airport and has operations also at Derby and Cape Leveque.
Experienced pilots are additionally trained as tour guides in order to provide a comprehensive and informative insight to the stunning Kimberley landscape.
Booking office staff are hand picked for their local knowledge and they are able to provide valuable assistance in itinerary and tour planning around the Kimberley.
Bookings and enquiries may be made by telephone, fax, internet or call into our offices which are are conveniently located in 'Chinatown' which is in Broome town centre. The office is open 7 days a week.
Flights from Broome depart from Broome Airport General Aviation Terminal
The type of aircraft operated by King Leopold Air are typically Cessna 210 or Cessna 206, which are the ideal aircraft for Kimberley conditions. These are usually fitted with 5 passenger seats and have a high wing design, which creates greater stability and allows optimum viewing. This type of aircraft can also cover great distances very quickly, making them ideal for charters and tours into even the most remote and often inaccessible Kimberley attractions.
Each passenger has a window seat and a personal headset to listen to the pilot's commentary. Pilots usually circle interesting landmarks and attractions, so that passengers may gain a photo opportunity.
