After take-off we head north across the Dampier Peninsula and King Sound to the Horizontal Waterfalls. This natural phenomenon is created by one of the highest tides in the world flowing in a white-water plume through two narrow openings*. We circle this area in both directions allowing photo opportunities.
Next we fly over a pearl farm at Talbot Bay and the many hundreds of deserted islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. We see the large open cut iron ore mines of Koolan and Cockatoo Islands.
Landing at Cape Leveque we enjoy refreshments, overlooking the Indian Ocean. A swim in the sheltered waters of the bay is a refreshing treat for passengers, with access to beach facilities. The flight back to Broome is along the many bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula’s west coast, including Willie Creek and the famous Cable Beach.
